Periodicals Index Online (formerly known as "PCI") is an index to the contents of thousands of journals in the humanities and social sciences, including such subjects as Ancient Civilizations, Anthropology/Ethnology, Area Studies, History, Jewish Studies, Law, Literature, Philosophy. Psychology, Religion/Theology, Sociology and Women's Studies. Note that indexing of journals is from their first issues (some of which begin as early as the 18th century ) and continues to the latter part of the 20th century.
