The Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG) is a research center at the University of California, Irvine. Founded in 1972, the TLG has already collected and digitized most literary texts written in Greek from Homer (8 BC) to the fall of Byzantium in AD 1453. One may search for texts by keyword, author, date, geographical origin, and descriptive epithet. The ultimate goal of TLG is to create a comprehensive digital library of Greek literature from antiquity to the present era. The web version of the TLG is updated quarterly to include new authors and works as they are added to the TLG corpus.
Effective August 1, 2009, the Harvard Libraries no longer offer remote access to the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG), a digital library of Greek literature from antiquity to the byzantine period. We continue to subscribe to the TLG, but access will be limited to selected workstations inside the libraries. At Harvard Divinity School Library, we offer TLG access at two computers on library's second floor. The Widener Library also has two TLG workstations.
